no wknd tee

The no wknd t-shirt project was a collaborative effort between Michelle Lamb and I. The no wknd theme was part of the identity of Otis College’s 2020 Com Arts department’s digital show. For the t-shirt we drew inspiration from low rider club culture, hand made signs, vinyl graphics, street typography, along with other American hip hop, and Los Angeles street culture style. Ultimately the door way lockup was used. With Michelle’s typographic skills we were able to fit all the names of the graduating students’s within the arch way lockup. The front features an image of the iconic IBM building that is the predominant building on the school’s campus, along with the two programs that are offered by the department. The back features a shared feeling from the students that is expressed by the sentence “ all my homies hate COVID”.
