Youth Ministry

This is a variation of a logo I'm developing for a youth ministry. By variation, I mean the green rays wouldn't usually be used, this is more for a t-shirt and stand alone usage.

I'm not completely sold on the appropriateness of this for the context though. Perhaps it looks too much like a chinese character?

With that said, the initials are BDT. What order do you think they seem to be in the logo? I don't think this is super important or that it would make or break the logo, but I'm curious how it comes across!
