LGDA 2012

To commemorate the Louisville Graphic Design Association's (LGDA) 25th year, twenty-five designers were asked to create a piece of art using the logo, and the year they were assigned. I was given 2012, so, naturally, I focused on the apocalypse.

2012 saw the Red Bull Stratos, the fall of Joseph Kony, Hurricane Sandy, the Arab Spring, the discovery of the Higgs Boson particle, and the narrow avoidance of the Mayan's prophesied doomsday. Looking back, I'm inspired by mankind's propensity to turn great devastation into great progress. This is a bit of an homage to that effect... In the midst of great destruction, there is great hope.
