Sitemap for Sony.com's Blog

This sitemap is one of three documents posted for the Sony.com blog site redesign project, to illustrate the progression from discovery and requirements gathering, through architecture, and finally to visual design.

Sitemaps are the first point at which a client's or stakeholder's vision starts to take form. In my experience, it's usually very exciting for them. Discovery, which informs the sitemapping process, includes requirements gathering, "F&F" (features and functionality) discussions, market and user research, persona development, user scenarios and task flows, and oftentimes tech planning and ecosystem mapping – ultimately it includes much collaboration and teamwork. The results of all of this effort finds it's way into the sitemap.
