Day Seven: Hermes

Over the summer I created over 35 achievement badges for the Withings Health Mate fitness app.

Day seven is Hermes.

“Hermes is an Olympian god of transitions and boundaries in Greek religion and mythology. He is quick and cunning, and moved freely between the worlds of the mortal and divine, as emissary and messenger of the gods, intercessor between mortals and the divine, and conductor of souls into the afterlife.

His sandals, called pédila by the Greeks and talaria by the Romans, were made of palm and myrtle branches and able to take the roads with the speed of wind. Originally they had no wings, but late in the artistic representations, they are depicted.”
