Mobile Kit Photography

Some of the product photography for our new UX Kit, Mobile App Visual Flowchart for OmniGraffle. Several examples in the attachments, cropped for the website.

We've found we get nice shots when we shoot on the iPad, slightly tilted on a desktop in natural light. Sometimes we add a little extra lighting (just with some lamps, nothing fancy).

We use a Sony NEX-7 with a fixed portrait lens. Generally, have to step back pretty far to avoid banding, or shoot at a significant angle, but you can always crop in tighter.
