Delphinium Sketch 2

10 x 10 watercolor on acid free mat board. I love painting on this board, especially when I am painting florals because it provides a perfect, natural, texture.

This piece is not yet finished. However, I really enjoy where it is and may just leave it in this stage. I know it would look great pushed further to completion, but I can't bring myself to do so. The complicated detail of these flowers required a grid. Something I haven't used since high school! The grid still shows through a few areas and I love it!

All that to say, this is more of a personal piece. Something just for me. :)
