Having fun with canvas

So I've decided the Rawkes refresh is going to include an interesting, animated and interactive canvas feature as part of the design. Why do stuff in Flash when you can use HTML5, right?

Everything, including what you see now, is created with JavaScript and CSS3. No images have been used (including with the gradient!) and none will be used unless absolutely necessary. The purpose of all this, apart from looking awesome, is to see what is possible with all the exciting new Web technologies out there.
