Creativity is a skill — the more you practice it, the more creative you are. Since then, I have constantly challenged myself to explore different tools while finding inspiration from many different artists.
Recently, I have been learning how to use Adobe After Effects. Although this video is only an 8 second loop, it was very time consuming and took about 2 days (with breaks). However, I am really happy with how it turned out!
Process:
1. Come up with an idea. Despite not really knowing how to do motion graphics, I was driven to bring it to life.
2. Create the illustration on Adobe Illustrator. Keeping the design file well-organized can significantly speed up the importation. (I originally exported 35 layers but only used 20 of them)
3. Create the animation on Adobe After Effects and export the final animation as a short video.
