Huck & Chug Rattlesnake

Earlier this spring, I was approached to do a spot illustration for a neighborhood disc golf tournament called the Huck & Chug, which would be printed on the disc as well as tees. The ask was to make a rattlesnake crushing a beer can, so the execution was ultimately up to me.

I tapped into traditional tattoos for inspiration and did a pencil sketch that I later vectored, and then manipulated in Photoshop to get that slightly softer/stamped look. The addition of halftones helped me create the right sense of dimension and space.
