http://www.machovy.com/ is a deal website for men. I did all of the design and front end development. It's currently not in my hands so the live site has some quirks. We're currently expanding our sales team to different metros and plan on going full force some time next year.

Machovy is a social shopping experience for men, with featured local deals. We see the internet shopping as dominated by the fairer sex and we’re hoping to level the playing field. We think we can crack the secret sauce that will get men participating in ecommerce and the purchase of daily deals. We’ll explain a bit more about why the market is skewed this way a bit later.

The web property has two types of deals listed, the first being a local deal. Our local deals focus on categories that groupon, living social and other daily deal sites exclude, such as nightlife. Our team is working on building relationships with local businesses to provide groupon-style deals in the pgh metro right now. We also curate products that we believe would provide a higher quality of life for the socially active male.

Lastly, we have our writers (and video production team) release content on a regular basis to tie the deals and products together. These articles will be aimed at helping men save time on shopping, fashion, dating, sports and nightlife. These articles will prescribe specific products to help them get to specific goal. We think these companies are doing a great job in creating this type of content.
