2 of Hearts for #playingartschallenge the Future
Playing Arts is a collective art project where designers and illustrators from all over the world express their vision of an ordinary playing card using personal styles, techniques and imagination. I've been invited to participate in the Playing Arts Future challenge by designing 2 ♥ Hearts for a new deck of playing cards. Description for my entry: "To imagine what the future will look like in 100 years from now, I tried to compare the present times to the 100 years ago reality. Technology made incredible advancements although it was already here 100 years ago making the first steps in various domains. I think that what has changed the most in these 100 years is human interaction. We depend and interact more and more with technology in our inter human relations. I imagine that in 100 years from now, in an unpredictable stage of technological evolution, in a technology dominated society human interaction will face a digitization of the feelings and emotions. I think that beyond any unimaginable now evolution of technology we will depend more and more on the machines to feel and transmit any thoughts and feelings. My design presents a large abstract number 2 formed by 2 mirrored hearts in the shape of a building with flying entities surrounding them. Geometric digital hearts enclosed within buildings."
