Big Fly George Brett
Let me tell you a baseball story about a man named George Brett .
With his team, the Kansas City Royals, trailing 4–3 in the top half of the ninth inning and two out, George Brett hit a two-run home run to give his team the lead! Awesome right?! But, Yankees manager Billy Martin, noticed an excessive amount of pine tar on Brett's bat and requested that the umpires inspect his bat. The umpires ruled that the amount of pine tar on the bat exceeded the amount allowed by rule, which nullified Brett's home run, and called him out. As Brett was the third out in the ninth inning with the home team in the lead, the game ended with a Yankees win. Thus sending Brett in to a bolt out of the dug out and scream at the Umpire for calling him out.
Wow, what a game. So this shirt lives to tell the tale of a home run that wasn't and of a man who wore his heart on his sleeve. If you're a baseball fan you can pick them up at Big Fly
