PRIDE

I made a great logo for Pride month this year at my previous job before they eliminated my position and they didn't end up using it. I wanted to make another art piece inspired by Pride, given that June was pride month and set out to see what I could do with its most widely known icon in culture, the rainbow.

By taking this shape and breaking it down to it's most minimal form, I created a pattern based around a square grid and the beauty it's capable of. Because I couldn't settle on just one background, I've made this in midnight blue, sky blue, blush and white in 18x24". I'll be adding this piece to my Society6 shop later today and offering it in many cool objects (https://society6.com/gavinthompson). This pattern lends extremely well to abstract pattern designs and I'm very proud of the final piece.

Happy Pride month everyone!
