Carnival of Brazil

A Brazilian carnival participant. I aimed for a certain confident swagger in the pose, and bright, but subtle colour palette. Whenever possible in my designs, I try to juxtapose angular and curved lines to create some dynamism. I also deliberately concentrate on the careful placement of each line, and precisely how it tapers (logo design influence), which is why I almost work exclusively with the pen tool for the main shapes and outline. It can take slightly longer to get to the result compared to freehand, but the level of polish is worth it to me
