A Tribute Called Quest

A tribute to one of the greatest hip hop crews of all time! The work consisted of a two-colour screen printed A2 poster (which was displayed in Studio 73’s ‘Cover Version’ Exhibition) depicting the inner thoughts of A Tribe Called Quest’s classic single ‘Can I Kick It?’. The work includes symbolism from certain lyrics within the song as well as the reference to the samples used to create the track.

As well as this, in honour of the passing of ATCQ member, Phife Dawg, a special illustration of Phife was printed on to tees and totes in a limited run.
