Eden (Restaurant Logo)

Project goal:
===========
I was told to make a logo for a historical Chinese restaurant in my town. Client's requirements were,

1. Must include prawn.
2. The logo has to be designed in square or circle shape.
3. The logo should exert a royal and luxurious vibe.
4. The logo should be As simple as possible but should be gorgeous.

Solution:
========
Maintaining all the requirements was quite a difficult task for me. I had to overcome every stape with hundreds of trial and error and extensive planning,

1. I tried to find a prawn vector online to use in my project. Found a lot but, none of them could reflect the luxurious vibe. Therefore I decided to design my very own prawn vector with Adobe Illustrators pen tool.

2. As I had to draw a realistic prawn so that it can hold a majestic image but, I found it very difficult to draw the prawn within a confined square area. Drawing realistic prawn means I have to draw every set of its legs, which was almost like a nightmare. So I have carefully planned the placements of the legs so that they can fit in a square shape.

3. To express the royal vibe I added two different crowns on the heads of the prawns. Also, I decided to give it a golden gradient and carefully manipulated the gradient angle on the different parts of the prawn where necessary.

4. Making a simple logo while maintaining a luxurious vibe is not easy! As mentioned above, drawing every set of legs made the logo complex. To reduce complexity I deducted last 3 behind sets of legs from a pair to one but kept the rest of the legs set in pair. Also to make it looks like a logo that is relevant to a restaurant, I attached restaurant props with the pincer legs.

5. Slogans are very important for branding. As the client asked for a slogan with a royal vibe, I had to ponder a lot. After a lot of research, I came up with several slogans. Those are, "Dine with tradition", "Taste the tradition", "Dine with luxury", "Traditional Taste". I asked the client to choose and he chose "Dine with luxury."
5. Make a short yet royal slogan that suits the branding.
