The concept here is that for every pledge to use less water, TakePart's corporate sponsors will donate 1000 gallons of water back to the Colorado river in effort to return much of the water that the west coast of the US uses on a daily basis. As each pledge is made the waterfall reaches closer to the ground as it moves from zero to 40 million gallons - Eventually showing water instead of the current dried up dirt river bed.
