Unused Concept - Stories & Sips

Stories & Sips combines storytelling (podcasts, videos, writing) with in-person (or virtual) Irish whiskey tasting experiences to celebrate the people, places, and passion in the world of Irish whiskey.

This concept was not ultimately chosen by the client. It takes the subtle approach in tying in the brand's Irish roots, referencing a very distinct element of the landscape for those who have been to the country: the street signs. The haphazardly stacked streetsigns informed the slant of the similarly stacked wordmark. The typography starts with lettering that wouldn't feel out of place in an Irish pub, then stretches it a little for a contemporary American audience. And the logo mark keeps it simple, using the distinctive shape of a classic Irish whiskey bottle, rendered with simple negative spaces.
