Personal Logo Redesign (Draft 1)

Back in 2010, I had designed a logo for myself. Symmetrical, rigid-grid based forms were the pinnacle of quality design to me at the time.

Now, I no longer feel that way. I want my work to live, breathe; to exude life, playfulness, and show the artist's hand.

Between this new concept and the previous one linked above, which one do you prefer?
