DailyUI #015 - ON/OFF Switch
Ni hao Dribbblers 👋
This is my #015 #DailyUI design.
Design Hint 💻 - Design an On/Off Switch. Consider what's being turned on/off and how it should be done.
The Idea 💡 - The idea for today’s UI design is an ON/OFF switch that could be embedded into either mobile or web based apps. Just like my previous #010 and #011 DailyUIs, I don't really have any idea going into this of what the design will look like; this task is a "shot in the dark" or "experiment". With that being said, hopefully I will accomplish a design that looks aesthetically pleasing but also unique.
Final Thoughts 🧠 - It's simple, it's unique, it's to the point. I like it. I first took to Dribbble to get some inspiration and noticed that most (80%) of other designers ON/OFF switch DailyUI designs had a similar look. So, while keeping some form of the default well-known switch design, I changed it for a flip animation. The switch would "flip" once the user taps the "light bulb" icon in the centre of the design. I embedded neumorphism into my design which just made it pop and look more modern. Overall, for a simple ON/OFF switch, I think I've done just fine.
