Dodgy Characters #01

These are a couple of characters created for a client brief. They were designed for a children's interactive digital game where a criminal must be identified from clues left at a crime scene. In all I created 40 characters from scratch.

I developed the characters initially in pencil sketches, then scanned these into Photoshop and finally imported them into Illustrator, where the linework was drawn out (using the Pen tool) on top of the scanned image, and inked in.

I thought it would be fun to show the original pencil sketch next to the finished character :)
