DailyUI #013 - Direct Messaging
Aluu Dribbblers 👋
This is my #013 #DailyUI design.
Design Hint 💻 - Design a Direct Messaging app, profile, or chatbox. Consider the parties involved in the message, images, placement, and context of messages. Are the messages for social purposes? Customer support?
The Idea 💡 - The idea for today’s UI design is a direct messaging list (left) and chatbox (right) for my theoretical Archery Community app for Android and iOS I came up with for my first ever #DailyUI. The overall design and colour palette will follow that of my #006 #DailyUI "User Profile", with a modernised, clean and minimalistic feel to it. Some neumorphic elements would follow suit.
Final Thoughts 🧠 - I'm in love with my design this time around! The whole design of the chatbox feels modern and minimal but also genuine and unique with the added personal touches that follow the aesthetic of the "User Profile" DailyUI I designed recently. While being aesthetic, I also focused more on the UX with this UI, testing my design on users as I designed it, to make sure the text was legible and the buttons/interactions were big enough to be usable - all my users found the design to be wonderful in that remark, so that was great to hear. The neumorphic elements blend seamlessly into the black and white dominant colour palette and the green circle glow effect of the "active" users really gives the design that modern, sharp look! I also like how I implemented the "filter" feature on the messages list design, it gave the overall design that bit more genuine touch and also gave the potential user a more feature rich app that lets you sort your messages from "friend" specific and "follower" specific people from your network (see my #DailyUI #006). Overall, I am very pleased with my messaging app design and I think I've nailed what I set out to do at 9am this morning 😁
