I designed a publication for performance artist Vivian Chinasa Ezugha’s project ‘Because of Hair; the Dichotomy of Culture and Identity.’ It is a beautiful tale of finding one’s self in the sight of darkness. Chinasa Ezugha evokes memories of her experience of masquerades in Nigeria, using hair as a language and symbol of empowerment.
