M Company Logo Design Process

Working on a logo for an undisclosed client. Initial shots are research into existing serif logos, identifying some best practices, evaluating some statistics, constructive feedback for improvements on the existing logo, defining the wants/constraints for design, and finally some iterations. I'm a bit of novice at logo design, but I'm trying to deliver.
