Futuristic Watering Can ツ
I think watering cans suck. Water spills out while carrying it, and it doesn't tell you how much water must be given to a particular plant. This watering can has a camera and an IR grid emitter to capture a 3D model of your target (i.e. a plant) in realtime. It then sends the data over WiFi to a web service which analyzes the data using top-notch artificial intelligence to look up in a database what kind of plant it is, when you gave it water the last time, and how much water it was. It also analyzes the health of the plant and then suggests a specific amount of water. All you do is hold it towards the plant. The drain drives out electromechanically and is automatically stabilized using gyro and acceleration sensors to compensate wrong holding and movement of the watering can with a tolerance of up to 30 cm in all directions. The drain automatically spits out the water like soft rain when the plant is sensitive to big water drops (great for Bonsais). Besides that, the watering can has a built-in dehumidifier which extracts water out of the air if the humidity is above a certain level. Just place it in your bathroom and it fills up automagically. The handle drives in/out electromechanically as well. There are many more awesome features. SciFi, of course ;)
