Gustavo Esquinca Monogram

I've been working on this mark for my personal branding for a while now … It's not too far from being "done," so I'm calling this a first iteration. It's a single letterform consisting of my name's initials (g and e) in lowercase.

I'd appreciate some feedback on its typographic qualities, and if you could share your first impressions, that would also be really helpful. I'm too close to it now—I can't confidently gauge what needs to be further developed and/or reworked.
