Juneteenth, as an American holiday
Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day, Jubilee Day, Cel-Liberation Day, or the Black Fourth of July, is an American holiday that commemorates June 19, 1865.
I read that this morning and wondered what it would look like if it were portrayed as an American (wooo freedom wooOoOooooO!) holiday, rather than a black holiday.
The number of stars is insignificant, but I did try to make it look a little like the Texas flag – considering they were the last to surrender, but first to acknowledge the holiday.
