KOINOBORI: The Japanese celebrate children’s personalities and their happiness each year with a national holiday on May 5. The carp flags that fly represent the father (top), the mother (middle), and the child (bottom). I was born in Japan and lived there for a total of 7 years, so everything Japanese has meaning for me. ⠀

BIKE W/STRAWBERRY: Bikes show up in a lot of my work, largely due to the fact that they are a huge part of my life. May is one of the best months of the year for riding bikes of all sorts in Colorado, and who doesn’t love a giant strawberry at this time of year?
