The Rapids – Brand Illustrations

The Rapids is a creative agency, specialising in brand strategy and development. In particular, they partner with clients and businesses with a focus on social and environmental initiatives.

They recently approached me to develop some outdoors-inspired illustrations, to reinforce and support the agencies tone of voice, and brand language.

Now, I know these types of visuals have been done to death over the last couple of years. You only need to look as far as Dribbble, and you'll see a wealth of illustrations that reimagine National Parks as badges, or camping inspired merchandise.

That said, as someone who has a love affair with the branding of National Parks, as well as being an avid hiker, it's a little pocket of design I was really excited to have some fun with.

These will eventually be used on various items of merchandise, and you can bet your bottom dollar at least one design will appear on an enamel camping mug, or trucker hat!
