I’ve been listening, I’ve been learning, and I’ve been taking action in the lane that I’m capable of making a difference in. Although they are starting out as small actions, they are actions nonetheless in the right direction towards ending what has been an absolutely unacceptable issue for far too long.

This piece has a special meaning to me behind the lines - it represents change. It took me 8+ hours to create this piece; during that time, instead of zoning out to music as I usually do, I spent each minute watching documentaries and learning/relearning the harsh truths of racial inequality. I know 8 hours doesn’t compare to the lifetimes spent in fear, so I will keep going and keep taking action however I can.
