Application for Admission II

Round 2 of application form:

1. With steps always include ‘back’ option on top. Many users don’t trust browser’s ‘Back’ button and worry information they provided so far will be lost.

2. Give users option to ‘Save and exit’.

3. Date of birth- use 3 separate fields- this is optimal solution for dates users already know or can find without using a calendar.

4. Gender- do not hide additional information, unless it’s relevant only to ‘some users’. We show gender details to all - transparency = trust.

5. Start address with country. Once you have that you can dynamically adjust the following fields and address formats (e.g. zip vs postal, states vs region).

6. Do not show ‘Address line 2’ by default - some users who provided all info in line 1 will get confused by seeing line 2. Let users decide if they need another line for address.
