Native Cool - Album cover

For this album cover I has the added bonus of listening to the artists music both before and while listening. The inspiration behind the colour choices, for example, was the smooth funk and new age blues sound found on the record. Something dramatic and contrasting felt best suited.

The illustration itself is a simple painting of the shape of the artists 'iconic silhouette' with as few brush strokes as possible to get that renegotiable shape.
