UX Writing Challenge: Day 12
I struggled a bit with their brief as it is super difficult. Perhaps Ja#ck is someone's real name and now seeing this message they feel bad about their name, while at the same time helping those named Jack to not have a name mistake. I think I managed to make the error message applicable to both but I would love any feedback! I included a verify button so if the name really is Ja#ck they know what to do and if the name is Jack then are now notified to the error and can change it.
UX Writing Challenge: Day 12
Scenario: A user is creating an account. When they come to the step where they are asked to enter their name, they get an error message. A fraud detection software thinks their name is fake—but it’s wrong 5% of the time.
Challenge: Write an error message that prompts them to fix the error without shaming them for having a fake-sounding name.
