Kurent

Kurent is the name for a Slovene mythical creature wearing sheep skin and making noises by jumping around and ringing his five bells. By doing this he scares away the winter together with all the bad things happening throughout the land and welcoming spring that should bring another good harvest. He always wears a mask with his long tongue hanging from the mouth and long horns between which colorful stripes hang down. Sometimes he carries a "ježevka" which translates into a stick with hedgehog skin wrapped around it. Similair mythical creature tales exist in countries throughout the Balkans towards the Black Sea.
This character is my personal and stylized interpretation of the Kurent which took me quite a while to make because I had to go out of my comfort zone and combine high poly modelling and sculpting. Really cool project that turned out quite awesome with the help of the insane new Eevee engine which I've tried for the first time. Kinda been avoiding Blender 2.8 since it came out.
