One of my favourite match cut transitions from a small animation test did after learning the diverging path technique from Evan Abrams' awesome tutorials.

Wasn't initially sure how to create a gradient fill like that, but came across the 4-Color Gradient effect and found it super useful and flexible for this test. Hoping to use it again...
