30 Days of Art: (20) iPad App Splash Screen
This past weekend, I participated in one of those cool Adobe Creative Jams in collaboration with Activision; the theme was on gamification. I wanted to revisit my submission, called Play More, by designing an onboarding experience where users discover gaming apps that are selected to them based on a series of personality and cognitive tests that they complete upon signing up. Today is just the splash page - stay tuned for tomorrow's design 😉
One thing was that I redesigned the splash page for iPads or tablets, instead of the usual smartphone resolution I've been designing all throughout this Daily UI challenge. I haven't seen app case studies being designed specifically for tablets yet - only for the web and on mobile, so I thought I'd give tablets a try. I also chose to design for tablets, as our target audience for the Adobe Creative Jam either had to be for elementary school aged children or those ages 13 and up - no doubt I'm seeing parents give iPads to their kids as if it were a toy nowadays 🤨
