Discover new places on Instagram

As someone who enjoys making restaurant reservations and planning activities prior to traveling to a new city, I often head to Instagram to find popular local spots. However, I am constantly frustrated by the lengthy process of going from individual accounts to hashtags to tagged locations just to find a few places to add to my itinerary.

While I love browsing reviews from accounts like The Infatuation, there is no easy way to see all the places they post about in context.

I designed a concept for a feature in which users can browse account posts by location to make discovery easier and more actionable. This way, users can use the map to find restaurants/businesses near their hotel or other places relevant to their trip.

Other thoughts: Should there also be a way for a user to search a city on Instagram and view a map of places visited by their friends/accounts they follow or other specific filters?
