Mary Poppins Cover Illustration

Growing up I must have watched Mary Poppins a million times but never read the book until this year - spoiler alert, the book is better! Way better 😉

Being a branding designer for so many year making sure the design was as on brand as possible to the colour pallet that would have been used during the Edwardian times was first priority. Then focusing on the smaller details around the lamp embroidery, font choice for the cough syrup bottle and the style of kite used during that time period.

Couldn’t help but to create something magical for the @plum_agency artist call out. I think everyone needs a little bit of Mary Poppins magic in their lives, because given the chance who really who wouldn’t want to jump into a chalk and escape on an adventure!
