The forge of vulcan (Posterheroes 2020)

The poster is a free adaptation of “The Forge of Vulcan”, a painting made in 1630 by Velázquez during his travel across Italy and exhibited right now at Museo del Prado in Madrid: https://www.museodelprado.es/coleccion/obra-de-arte/la-fragua-de-vulcano/84a0240d-b41a-404d-8433-6e4e2efd21ab

I have tried to represent, according to the contest regulation, two main issues related to:
- The underrepresentation and underestimation of women in high quality positions. Here, god Apollo is replaced by a young woman who is explaining to a group of men how to enhance the company profits. They are getting amazed because she is bringing fresh and brave ideas. Companies need to run equality programs that decrease the salary gap and empower the women roles.
- The technological changes which have taken place in the last years and companies have to face to. In the illustration, the traditional forge has turned in a modern office of any services company. Over the last years, companies have had to adapt their work way to the new world risen from Internet. One of the greatest problems in the digital economy is how this kind of companies share its wealth through, for instance, the payment of taxes. The point is that taxation regulations are really different in each country and Internet is global.
