BLM

EDIT - A black square ain't enough. I will and we will do more.

I’ve been racking my head with how to respond to what’s going on right now. With people in power, abusing it. “Protectors” being agents of affliction. And the imbalance of Humanity that has and will continue to plague us if we don’t change it.

I’m going to be honest, I did have a couple of ideas of artworks to do for this post. But I think the simplicity and the absence of one will speak louder. There are already so many more talented people out there that have created great rallying works, a few of which I’ve shared in my story.

Although I’ve not been as active as of late due to my own reasons, this is a bigger issue that I cannot just ignore.

These past few days I’ve learnt so much, and have been exposed to amazing sources of research, and I will continue to do so even after these events. Racism won’t let up, and we can’t either. As I educate myself in any way I can and to help - most importantly. Donating is great, but we have to continue to do more. To use my own platform. Privilege. Power. Whatever the label is. It’s our time to use it. Anyone with a platform (and even smaller followings like myself), have a duty to not be silent. To not be complicit in enabling these actions. This systematic, prolonged and engrained oppression has to end. No one should be treated differently because of who they are. This isn’t political. It’s basic Human Rights.

It’s during the darkest times, the light will shine brightest again. We’re together, not apart.

Please use the links I'm sharing in my Instagram Stories to donate, educate, and help.
