MTA SmartPay is a mobile ticketing solution for public transit. With mobile ticketing, riders can buy and manage mobile tickets using their mobile phone, ensuring effortless ticket payment and tracking all in one place, from anywhere.

The primary pain points MTA SmartPay attempts to address are purchasing MTA ticket packages, tracking payment history and current card value, and accessing subways, without a card, from anywhere.
