Evomail Message Snooze
A continuation of my "never before seen" Evomail for iPhone screens :)
This is a shot of Evomail's snooze functionality. When thinking about how I'd present the feature made popular by Mailbox, I thought hard about ways to simplify both it's functionality and presentation. One thing I noticed in Mailbox was "decision fatigue." In that it presented many options (7) which, at different times of the day/week, overlapped each other. And for something that was meant to be quick and painless, the user was left indecisive in making a choice between 7 return times.
So first step was constraining the options to three; since Gmail comes in threes ([triage - label, archive, and trash] & [actions - reply, reply all, and forward]).
It came down to "Later Today" (which changes to simply "Later" at night), Tomorrow, and Next Week. To set a specific day/time, simply tap the down arrow which opens the card to display Apple's default spin-wheel. The icons mimicked a remote control. Think Click the movie.
I definitely had fun designing this.
