Carv Insert Sensors

As the 'sole' designer working with a startup you often find yourself bouncing around doing all sorts of extra design tasks - website updates, email designs, posters, pitch decks etc.

⛷️ At Carv, while my focus was on the core mobile product experience, I liked to embrace those extra design jobs that landed on my desk / in my inbox.

Here’s one of those ☝️ The screen print design for the Carv insert sensors 🦶

The industrial design for the trackers (shown in pic. 2+) had already been done so I took my design cues here to ensure continuity. The trackers had a blue stroke that went around the whole unit. I used this same style on the inserts. I positioned the Carv logo on each insert so when you laid out in front of you, the logo would read correctly (left to right) as you turn your head over each shoulder.

A simple but elegant design. I also ended up using the ‘Carv Blue Stroke’ in other ways as a simple brand element.

*Industrial design by the very talented Jamie Salter aka Salt Dawg.
