Calypso Hotel Rebranding

A visual identity for Calypso Hotel. Target clients of the hotel are tourists from around Europe, couples, families as well as groups who come to relax and enjoy a holiday by the Mediterranean sea. The challenge was to come up with a new and contemporary work, that keeps the same heritage and previous elements to maintain its identity. The hotel’s location was taken as the primary inspiration. It was the fact that it is a seaside resort that captured my attention.

The project began with research and analysis of other hotels that serve as competition for Calypso Hotel ending up the research through concepts like: sea, relaxation, simplistic designs and beach resorts both locally and internationally. Upon exploration it was discovered that well-known hotels always use their name as the main attraction in their logo. Therefore, Hotel Calypso was changed to Calypso Hotel. The goal of my design was to incorporate simplicity and connectedness, evoking the concepts of Mediterranean elements: sea and sun, luxury and attraction.
