First Soldier's Monument

The night before, I recorded a video of a statue in town, lining the crescent moon up with the flag pole of the monument, as a compositional perspective trick.. That inspired me to create this simple graphic today. Only in the middle of the process did it register to me that I was making a Memorial Day graphic, which seemed really coincidental to me.

The starry background is a photo I took two clear nights ago, during the new moon in Smugglers' Notch.
