Clover: Food Donation App

The Problem:
Food is being wasted at a terrifying rate while citizens of the 10th richest country in the world are starving. Businesses like restaurants, catering companies, and grocers are some of the worst offenders. On top of that, if food waste were a country, it would be the third largest emitter of greenhouse gases behind China and the United States.

The Solution:
Connect food service businesses to local non-profits that feed the community. Incentivize the businesses by educating them about the amount of money in tax benefits they could receive by donating their surplus food. Present these solutions in an easy to use, straight forward native application for iOS. This way, the app will provide a familiar look and feel to the user so that they get donating sooner.
