Daily UI Challenge #5

I have little experience with app icons, but I thought I'd choose a concept and run with it. Lately, I have been spending a decent amount of time birdwatching. It has been a truly enjoyable and brand new experience so I thought I'd create an app icon that connects birdwatchers.
I sourced the yellow on top of the gradient from an American Goldfinch and the brown-orange on the bottom from an Eastern Towhee. It was difficult, to stay away from a twitter feel, but I embraced it.
