Midnight garden

My first foray into surface pattern design!

This pattern is inspired by my granddad. He used to grow all kinds of things: tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, potatoes. But what I remember most is when he lifted me up high to look at the sunflowers. My granddad had a heart attack when I was six years old, and while he was in the hospital my grandmother took me to get some flowers for him. I picked out pink roses. Once he was able to go home, he planted the roses by the driveway, where they bloomed every year.
