ProjectX
Our app is based on the concept of projects, and the creation of real “Collaborative Rooms” where users can interact with each other and assign tasks.
You can create new ones, assign a title, a description, add members to projects through email, and choose a photo based on a default set of icons. This is the heart of our app. Indeed there is a collaboration where everyone can see the tasks of all the members and change them, move them, change names or priorities all in real time, without the need to make strange updates and waste time. All updates such as creations of a new task, new project creations, addition of members etc, are done in real time with notifications.
When we join a project we immediately notice a wheel, that is our real innovation. Indeed, we decided to base our calendar on the geometric shape of the circle, in our case on a wheel. We decided to experiment this new type of visualisation thanks to numerous researches that have confirmed our thesis, which is based on the fact that the user, in this way, can clearly see the gap between the various tasks, something that is not visible in the usual list mode.
The days without task are displayed with a small white dot while days with tasks are displayed with larger dots and different color depending on the priority assigned to it. But then, what happens if multiple task are on the same day?! In this case, we thought to show the color of the task with higher priority as the bigger one and so on.
Depending on the movement of the cursor, the cards at the bottom will show the task of that day and by stopping there, you can have a more specific view of the various tasks.
We also adopted the haptic feedback while the user moves the cursor on the wheel that will intensify depending on the number of task on that day. This is because we want to make the app really accessible to everyone.
Now let's move to the Dashboard section, here the user can find all the tasks related to his projects and it's possible to add his personal ones. A question like "If I'm busy on a given day and my appointment is not currently on this app, should I close the app, open the calendar and go back to the app?"
Of course the answer is NO. We have provided an automatically synchronisation with the iCloud calendar of the iPhone and, when the user open the app for the first time, can choose whether to synchronise work commitments or family ones or all the appointments that he already has on calendar. Of course the user can change this option anytime in the settings area.
Future implementations: Apple Watch, Face ID.
